Gatsby - Athens

Project info
The lighting design challenge for the Gatsby Athens Hotel, has being harmonizing the classic allure of the 1930s Art Deco style with the energy of modern aesthetics. Our concept lighting design for both the guest rooms and public areas complement the architectural details developed by the Greek firm WOA and the international architects Michaelis & Boyd. Our strategy was to integrate the natural and technical lighting to our overall design, ensuring that the lighting scenes will be enhancing the hotel’s evolving decor. The design approach supported the hotel’s aim to cultivate a spruce and social atmosphere, aligning perfectly with the hotel’s “stay and play” philosophy targeted at an audience that feels young at heart. . The merge of artistic vision with practical application, highlights the historic sophistication and the contemporary appeal of the Gatsby Athens Hotel.
